The following items are required to process a lease application:

1.  A certified/cashier’s check, money order or cash for the non-refundable application fee, depending on the real estate broker.  All certified/cashier’s checks and money orders should be made payable to the real estate broker/company.  Each rental management company will require an application fee to perform background and credit checks.  The cost will vary with each broker.  Most companies will require a separate application fee for each adult. 

2.  A certified/cashier’s check or money order for one month’s rent equivalent is required to be submitted with the application as first month’s rent (similar to earnest money) payable to the real estate broker.  This fee is refundable if the lease application is not approved by the landlord.

3.  A fully completed rental APPLICATION

4.  Once the application is approved, you will be required to fill out a residential lease.
